The Department for Infrastructure has appointed the Planning Appeals Commission to conduct an independent examination of the Belfast City Council Plan Strategy. Belfast City Council submitted their draft Plan Strategy documents to the Commission on Thursday 2nd January for examination. A Programme Officer has been assigned and an initial check of the documentation is underway to ensure that the Commission has all the information necessary to enable the examination to proceed.
Once it is established that we can proceed, a Commissioner will be appointed and a webpage specific to the Belfast City Council plan will go live. Further information and updates on the progress of this examination can be found there.
